Over the last week and a half Lilly has really began to blossom in so many new and exciting ways. She has become such a happy baby almost all of the time. She is more content to play by herself and enjoys taking in the sights and sounds of new places. She use to demand attention and care around the clock and now it is almost as if she is becoming independent. It's nice to be able to accomplish tasks around the house knowing that she can entertain herself. Although she will still cry on occasion when I leave the room it is starting to become less often. Lilly has also started to gain weight. I don't actually have the proof on paper yet (stay tuned next week) but I've had multiple comments in the last 3-4 days about how much she seems to be growing and filling out. Of course being around her all the time it is harder to notice these changes but I do see that her cheeks are starting to fill out and have even noticed a couple of rolls developing on her legs.
I remember when Lilly was first born and I would sit and just stare at her as she would sleep. I've fallen back into that routine and it's almost like I just can't get enough of her. There is something about the stillness of a child that is breathtaking.

Amen sister! One of the most adorable things is watching babies sleep. I love it. She is getting so big and so dang cute!! Thanks for sharing the pictures and thanks for the birthday and Christmas card. Miss you lots!!
It reminds me of those commercials that are running right now for Johnson and Johnson. It plays silent night with baby sleeping. Seems like Alea's sleeping each time I see it and makes me take a moment with her.
