Yum Yum!!

Well as you can see Lilly is really starting to take on to her rice cereal. We had tried to give it to her about a month ago and she did great the first time (as seen in a previous post) and then didn't have much of an interest after that. We gave up on feeding it to her until last week and now I think she's finally getting the hang of it. As you can see I could hardly shovel it in fast enough.

Playing in my crib

Lilly finally discovered that not only does she have hands but also feet. She has started to kick around while she plays and can grab and hold her feet for short periods of time. She's really starting to make changes on a weekly basis now. She laughs out loud and kicks and smiles when she sees mom or dad walk in the room. This is a really fun time in this new adventure!!

Home Improvement

There have been a lot of changes at 1210 Jones over the last few years. Mike lived in the house with a roommate before I moved in so naturally the place was a total bachelor's pad. As a woman and newly wife I was excited to spruce the place up. Well, as many of you know when you start a project that then leads to another project and then another, etc. So over the last 3 years we've managed to update every room in the house. We've painted every single room (including the exterior), painted all the trim work, interior doors and kitchen cabinets, built an office in the basement (yes, my husband did it all from the framing and putting up sheetrock to the painting...with some help from friends and my dad) and replaced the carpet. Of course when I look at the before and after pictures I see "Extreme Makeover" but I'm sure that's just the sweat and tears talking. Here are the "before and after" pictures of the transformation. Enjoy!!

Feed Me!!

This was our first attempt at feeding Lilly rice cereal. Everything I have read says that it can take your baby up to 15 tries before they will actually do anything but push the food right back out with their tongue. Much to our surprise Lilly took to the spoon first try. Looks like she's going to be a good eater....big surprise, huh?

What in the world is going on?

I sure haven't ever tasted anything like this before!!

I think I kind of like this stuff!

Now on to dessert!!
